What We Do

Your donations make it possible to enhance the care and experience of patients and help look after NHS Borders’ staff.

Projects that have a direct benefit to NHS Borders’ patients in the hospitals or in the community. Examples include projects that enhance patient information and resources, provide activities to support patient care or rehabilitation, improve accessibility for certain patient groups, make small improvements to healthcare environments or the purchase of medical devices and equipment.
These projects must be focused on improving knowledge and understanding of effective treatment and practice for patients and the community of NHS Borders.
Examples include attendance at training events and conferences, providing books, resources and publications.
Projects that improve the health & wellbeing of staff to enable them to provide exceptional care for patients & our community.
No one wants to spend Christmas in a healthcare setting so your donations help raise a smile with a modest gift for patients on Christmas day. This is organised by the individual wards and supported by your donations.
