Creating Space for Wellbeing
NHS Borders Health Charity is delighted to have funded a new sofa for the Outpatient Department's recently refurbished Wellbeing Room, helping to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients, families and staff.
The project was led by Senior Charge Nurse Andrea, who took the Wellbeing Room from idea to reality. Designed as a calm and private space away from busy clinic areas, the room gives patients and their loved ones somewhere to gather their thoughts, have important conversations, or simply take a moment when they need it most.
The room also provides a valuable space for staff, offering a quiet environment where they can pause, reflect and recharge during a busy day.
While a new sofa may seem like a small addition, it plays an important role in making the room feel homely, comfortable and supportive for everyone who uses it.
Projects like this are made possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters, whose donations help us fund improvements that enhance the experience of patients, families and staff across NHS Borders.
