Vicky Goes the Extra Mile for Borders Cancer Services

NHS Borders Health Charity would like to say a huge thank you to Vicky Colvine for her incredible fundraising efforts, raising an amazing £5,133 for Borders Cancer Services after taking part in the Scottish Half Marathon.

Vicky took on the challenge as a way of saying thank you for the care and support her dad, Brian, has received. Motivated by gratitude and a desire to give something back, she trained hard and completed the half marathon with the support of family, friends and generous donors.

Thanks to Vicky's determination and the kindness of everyone who sponsored her, an outstanding amount has been raised to help support cancer services across NHS Borders, benefiting patients and families both now and in the future.

It was a pleasure to welcome Vicky and her dad Brian, to thank her in person for her remarkable achievement. Completing a half marathon is no small feat, and raising more than £5,000 alongside it makes her accomplishment even more impressive.
