Shannon Conquers Ben Nevis for Border Cancer Services

NHS Borders Health Charity was delighted to welcome Shannon Louise Forsyth recently and congratulate her on raising an incredible £1,528.16 in support of local healthcare services.

After receiving care at the Borders General Hospital and the Borders Macmillan Centre, Shannon wanted to give something back to the services that had supported her. Determined to make a difference, she took on the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain.

Thanks to Shannon's commitment and the generosity of everyone who sponsored her, she has raised a fantastic amount that will help support patients and services across NHS Borders.

It was a pleasure to meet Shannon in person and thank her for her remarkable fundraising achievement. As her photographs show, this was no ordinary climb. In true Scottish fashion, Shannon even had to battle snow on the mountain despite taking on the challenge in June!
