Greenlaw Bowling Club Goes the Distance for Palliative Care

NHS Borders Health Charity would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Greenlaw Bowling Club for their incredible fundraising efforts, raising an amazing £1,850 for the Margaret Kerr Unit and Palliative Care Service through a fantastic 24-hour bowling marathon.

Club members and supporters showed remarkable dedication as they bowled their way through an entire day and night, all in aid of local patients and families who rely on palliative care services across the Borders.

The event brought together people of all ages from the local community, with participants, volunteers and supporters helping to make the marathon a tremendous success. Thanks to their generosity and enthusiasm, an outstanding £1,850 was raised to support care and comfort for patients and their loved ones.

While the fundraising total is certainly impressive, we're not sure what's more remarkable, the amount raised or staying awake for 24 hours of bowling!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated, volunteered and cheered participants on throughout the event. We hope you all enjoyed a very well-earned sleep once the final bowl had been played.
